by Sanjin Jukic
This is my first side by side test with RED Scarlet-X and Canon C300.
Cameras were set like this:
Scarlet X EI 800 / ISO, 5600K, 1/48, f/11, ND4 (Hoya screw-in), CircPola
C300 EI 850 / ISO, 5600K, 1/48, f/11, ND2 (built-in), CircPola
Local time of the shooting: Early morning, between 7.00 AM and 8.30 AM.
R3D files were converted to REDLogFilm ProRes 422 HQ.
Canon C300 MXF files were recorded with C-Log and converted to ProRes 422 HQ.

During post processing there were used Nick Shaw’s AntlerPost LUTs for FCP 7 and DaVinci Resolve.

More tests will come later.
Seems to me that Canon C300 ousted Scarlet-X with a nicer color balanced look in DaVinci Resolve this time.
Let me know what you think?
Lenses:
